This year Malaysian government said it celebrated its 59 years Malaysia's Independent's Day!!!


59 is the WRONG and DISTORTED  historic facts!

31 August 1957 was the date of formation of The Federation of Malaya, That was the Independent Day of Malaya Federation, which has nothing to with the East Malaysia, i.e., Sarawak and Sabah.


Sarawak's Independent from the British Government on the 22 July 1963 to became a Nation.


Sabah, too was independent on the 31 August 1963 from Britain as rightful Nation.


MALAYSIA was formed on the 16th September 1963 by 4 Nations;
1. THE FEDERATION OF MALAYA
2. THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
3. SARAWAK &
4. SABAH


Therefore, Malaysia is 2016 - 1963 = 53 years old! thus, the true Malaysia Day is 16 September 1963


Not the 59th Malaysia National Day ( 2016 - 1957 = 59 years ) Wrong!


Further more...  in history,  there is NO and never a MALAYSIA Independent Day!!! It's simply because MALAYSIA was Formed!!!

good thing is you have two holidays within 3 weeks
canada has different provinces joining the country at different dates but the national date is still july 1.
