Real muscle in on Arsenal targets

Real Madrid are hoping to beat Arsenal to two young French sensations, Samir Nasri and Karim Benzema.

Real have tapped Nasri as the replacement for Zinedine Zidane, with whom the young Marseille midfielder and Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year is frequently compared. Nasri and Lyon striker Benzema made their France debut together last March, combining to score the winning goal.

Both players have long been tracked by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
