Wenger in no rush to spend

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated he will not dip into his hefty war chest in January just for the sake of it.



The Gunners boss has a reported £70million at his fingertips following a healthy financial year that saw the club's turnover rise to more than £200million.


Wenger is wary of spending for the sake of it as he believes the bigger clubs need to hold back some emergency funds in case of an injury crisis or if a purchase needs to be made quickly.
