The world is getting warmer. The 11 warmest years on record have all occurred since 1990. One consequence already happening is glacier meltdown. This programme investigates the rate and extent of the melt down in some of the remotest regions on Earth from Alaska to Antarctica. As scientists predict a one to three foot rise in sea levels this century, the programme speaks to experts in New York and Venice, Italy, to find out how these coastal cities will fare as the seas get higher.
