ATHENS: Former Brazil striker Rivaldo has left AEK Athens to join Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor, the Greek Super League club have announced.
“AEK have now agreed to release Rivaldo from his contract following the payment of a transfer fee,” a club spokesman said yesterday.
Meanwhile, Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid have signed Valencia midfielder Ever Banega on loan for the season.
Banega is Atletico's sixth off-season signing. Atletico announced the move yesterday, a day after they beat Schalke 4-0 to qualify for the Champions League group stage for the first time in 12 years. |
