Platini brands English clubs "cheats"

UEFA chief Michel Platini has launched a stinging double attack on England, insisting their national side will not be missed at Euro 2008 while its debt-ridden Premier League is helping 'cheats' reach the top, reports the Daily Mail. The president of European football’s governing body is totally unconcerned that England failed to make the 16-team tournament in Austria and Switzerland and ahead of Saturdays big kick-off, he taunted the high-profile absentees .
Platini blasted: "What does England’s absence mean to me?
Nothing. They had only to qualify on the pitch. I do not wish to say that we miss England.
"That would mean, moreover, that the Croats are worthless. If England are not capable of finishing in the first two teams from a group of six, that is their problem."
Croatia won England's group, Slaven Bilic's side winning home and away against Steve McClaren's team.
Platini has also started a crusade to rid the Premier League of debt-ridden clubs, branding the Chelsea v Manchester United Champions League Final as a battle of the "cheats".
He said: "Look at the deficits of Chelsea and Manchester United. FIFA and UEFA are going to have to combat that because, today, it is the ones who cheat who win.
"We are starting to work on this. It's a race for money. The passion in England is exceptional and hooliganism has been fought but, as for the rest, we are going to have to find something."
其实我唔认同Platini嘅睇法。。。
如果英超强队能够影响欧洲杯赛事,
但啲好似冇乜"英国佬"嘅球队好似阿仙奴一定会"告状"!
