Clichy - We will refocus
Gael Clichy is confident Arsenal will bounce back after their setback against Birmingham City.
The Gunners were far from their best at Emirates Stadium as they struggled to create against a disciplined Blues side.
Arsene Wenger's men took the lead courtesy of Emmanuel Adebayor's spot-kick, but Birmingham equalised early in the second half through Garry O'Connor.
Arsenal were made to pay for their dropped points, with Manchester United thumping Newcastle United 6-0 in Saturday's evening kick-off.
Quality
United now top the Premier League on goal difference, but Clichy insists his team-mates will not dwell on their slip-up.
"Maybe we lost our focus but the mentality has not changed," he said in The Sun.
"We are still there for the title and will show that in our next game against Fulham.
"But Manchester United going top will not affect us. They also led by a point after Christmas and we came straight back.
"So we know we have the quality to be first again in the next few weeks." |
