While pretty much everyone is familiar with the fantastic special MTV Unplugged: Nirvana, a never-before-seen concert featuring the band is now set to have its world premiere next week. Nirvana: Live At the Paramount will be simultaneously broadcast on Friday, September 23rd, one day before the 20th anniversary of the band’s classic album Nevermind, on VH1 Classic, VH1 and Palladia at 11 PM ET/PT. The show was shot on Halloween night in Seattle in 1991, and the 11-song set features favorites like “Lithium,” “Breed,” “Aneurysm,” “Polly,” “Sliver,” “On A Plain,” Blew,” “Territorial Pissings” “Endless, Nameless,” and of course “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” as well as a cover of the Vaselines’ “Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For A Sunbeam.” Hit the jump for bliss. |
