I am in Taiwan with alien status...renew every 3 years.

Stay how long to get the TW passport ?

There's lots of requirements and paperwork to apply permanent resident, which is different from alient resident.  So goes for the simpler one.

Its ok, the welfare and benefit system is not like western countries, reward people for not working.
The most important is we get national health care like everyone else.
