orchids 發表於 2010-12-16 07:35 PM Hello Orchids dear, have read that column too. I think starting a new life at whichever country is pretty hard, it takes a lot of adjustments, getting use to the local enviroments, lifestyle, living standard, social connection, and most important of all, to be able to make a comfortable living. The younger you moved to a new country, the easier it would be. As we are older, we are more accustomed to the local lifestyle, have more social connections, etc. It would take me a hack of effort if I were to move back and live in Hongkong too.
But I always think it is a privileged to those of us who can choose where they live, and off course, we choose the one that suits us best, its a personal choice.
By the way, when I say it takes me lots of adjustments living in HK, doesn't mean I don't like HK. I love coming for a holiday, and going yum cha too. |
A little green earthling, living life as if there were no tomorrow. |
