No deal done for Magpies target yet
Galatasaray midfielder Arda Turan’s agent has refused to comment on speculation linking the Turkey international with a move to Newcastle.
The 21-year-old is reported to be a summer transfer target of Magpies boss Kevin Keegan, but Turan’s representative says no contact has been made and that will remain the case until the Turkish champions give him the go-ahead to do so.
“I cannot talk with any club unless Galatasaray say that I can,” said Ahmet Bulut in the Daily Star.
Reports in Turkey have stated that the Premier League outfit have already placed a £9 million offer on the table for the player.
However, it is believed Turan’s club are holding out for £2m more than what is being offered. |
