Jermaine Pennant will be the first casualty of Rafael Benitez's summer clearout.
According to the Independent he was told on Friday that he can leave the club. Newcastle United are favourites to sign the winger, as Benitez looks to recoup some if not all of the £6.7m he paid for the player.
