EL SEGUNDO - Emotions ran high, though not to the point of deciding the
outcome of the Lakers' playoff opener against the Denver Nuggets.
情緒不斷升高，雖然還不到決定這系列勝負的時候。
There were five technical fouls in Sunday's game, including one for Kobe
Bryant, along with a flagrant foul by Denver's J. R. Smith and the ejection
of Nuggets star Allen Iverson.
禮拜天的比賽中總共出現五次技術犯規，其中一個是Kobe Bryant領到，跟隨著的是金塊
的J.R. Smith領到一個惡性犯規以及球星Allen Iverson被驅除出場。
And things are expected to be even more physical in tonight's Game 2 of the
best-of-seven series at Staples Center. The Lakers are ready for an angry and
determined Nuggets team willing to dish out punishment.
不過今晚的比賽只會更激烈更碰撞，湖人已經準備好要迎接金塊的怒火及懲罰。
"Both teams will play hard," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "I think that's
what you do in this situation. You play up to the limits and try not to go
over them. I anticipate that guys will be within the bounds."

It's not as if the Lakers haven't seen the Nuggets get tough before. During
the regular season, Denver star Carmelo Anthony was called for a flagrant
foul and ejected after he grabbed LA's Sasha Vujacic by the throat.

In Game 1, Denver's Anthony Carter pushed Bryant because he felt Bryant
intentionally hit him in the face while Carter was fouling him. Bryant also
got into a trash-talking contest with Denver's Kenyon Martin, leading to
technical fouls for both.
在前一場比賽，丹佛的Anthony Carter推了Bryant一把，因為他覺得Bryant故意在他犯規

"It's not something we give any thought to," Bryant said of the pushes and
shoves. "We just kind of charge it to the game, just being playoff
basketball, just being intense and guys getting after it."

Jackson said the Lakers still are under some pressure, despite their 14-point
victory in the opener and their home-court advantage throughout the playoffs
in the West.
"We still have the pressure to win on our home court -- (and) play as hard as
we did before," Jackson said. "It's very difficult for a team to come back
with the same intensity. It's just a natural tendency to relax. We talked
about that both yesterday and today with the ballclub. They have to come out
and play hard and understand that when they have the foot on the neck, to
keep it there, not to let it up. But it's hard not to do that with Denver."
The Nuggets are talking about making a lineup change, inserting 6-foot-8
Linas Kleiza in place of the 6-2 Carter to join the 6-foot Iverson in the
backcourt.
Exhibition Schedule

The Lakers announced their exhibition schedule for next season, which
includes a game in Ontario.
湖人宣佈了他們下季的表演賽行程，其中一場在Ontario（經網友指正應是在加州的）。
對不起，這邊的問題是從文章中看不出來是哪一個Ontario，我以為他特地寫出來，就是
為了指那個很有名的Ontario，但是忘了這是寫給美國人看的文章，不過美國境內也有不
只一個Ontario就是了，而我也查不到這份表演賽的資料，所以沒辦法確定。
The Lakers will open at Anaheim's Honda Center on Oct. 7 against Utah before
going to Fresno to play the Clippers on Oct. 9 at Save Mart Center, then Las
Vegas to face Sacramento on Oct. 12 at Thomas & Mack Center.
湖人會在十月七號在Anaheim（洛杉磯南邊）的Honda Center與猶他打第一場表演賽，之
後九號在Fresno（舊金山與洛杉磯中間）的Save Mart Center與快艇打第二場，十二號再
去拉斯維加斯的Thomas & Mack Center跟國王打。
The Lakers will return home Oct. 18 and 19 for the Shootout at Staples Center
with Toronto, the Clippers and another team to be determined, then close with
three more games in Southern California: Oct. 22 against Charlotte at the San
Diego Sports Arena, Oct. 23 against Charlotte at Honda Center, and Oct. 24
against Seattle at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.

Bryant came in fifth in the voting for the Defensive Player of the Year
Award, which went to Boston's Kevin Garnett.

Jackson said forward Ronny Turiaf, who played just three minutes Sunday
because he was sick, practiced Tuesday but lacked energy. Jackson hopes
Turiaf can play tonight. Center DJ Mbenga, who suffered bruised ribs during
practice Monday, was limited at practice Tuesday.
