Hleb not considering Gunners exit
Reported Barcelona target Alexander Hleb has no plans to follow Thierry Henry out of Arsenal in the summer.
The Gunners winger was reported to be interesting the Spanish giants during the transfer window. However, the player’s agent says that his client – who he has dubbed as a possible successor to Deco in the Camp Nou midfield – is happy in London, despite the interest of the Catalan giants.
Hleb’s agent Niki Spilevski told sport.es: “Alex loves Arsenal and the London life and does not want to leave a club that he considers the best around at the moment, with the best possible trainer.
“Why would he want to go away?"
Hleb joined The Gunners from Stuttgart in 2005 and was part of the Arsenal side beaten by Barcelona in the 2006 Champions league final.
He has played his best football in North London this term and has been a key man as Arsene Wenger’s side have risen to the top of The Premier League. |
