Ryuichi Sakamoto - An incredibly gifted musician, he wrote the music for the epic movie "The Last Emperor" back in 1968. This is one of those cd that I rushed out to get right after the seeing the movie.
What is incredible is that Ryuchi wrote these music while his was in his early twenties. He was so so young, how a young person like him could write music that is so melancholic, full of contradictions and overflows with emotion? If you think he was good then, listen to how he plays now, with lots of grey hair, he is a lot more mature, and his technique is sublime. Now, turn the volume up, enjoy!
I know, the last section is missing from this clip, but this is the best one I can find.
So I include this one for your satisfaction.
A little green earthling, living life as if there were no tomorrow.
Lemon, this is one of your favorite ....
excellent choice,
And this one is mine, a case of honey.
The ambient music,
the sweet aroma of the lemon peppermint,
that peaceful courtyard setting,
everyone's dressed up,
sipping, sampling,
the cocktail, the lemon tea,
so business like,
chatting, relaxing, reminiscing,
enticing, magnetizing,
flirt,
here is my very old and well used pickup line:
we met somewhere before?
A little green earthling, living life as if there were no tomorrow.
