Combining fashion and beauty: The largest vertical garden covers the wall a shopping centre in the town of Rozzano, near Milan
意大利米蘭附近一座購物中心斥資130萬美元（約1,014萬港元），打造出全球最大的垂直花園，栽種的4.4萬株植物覆蓋着1.36萬平方尺面積。
這座巨大城市花園早在2010年落成，但本周才獲確認創下紀錄，由建築師博蘭尼設計。波拉尼領導創意團隊，花了一年在溫室種植植物，並花了90天裝飾外觀。這就像在組裝巨大的樂高。
美觀節能兼保護環境
博蘭尼表示，此垂直花園依商場外牆而建，這並不是在牆壁上塗抹了泥土來栽種植物，而是加裝了作為花盆的鐵製容器，這種添置令花園建築費增至130萬美元。
之前創下紀錄的是西班馬德里一酒店的花園，面積僅844平方公尺。
購物中心主管拉奧說：「這是可以持續維護的建築物美觀節能，又能保護環境。」
這座花園可以減少直接日曬，協助調節羅扎諾購物中心溫度，有助於降低能源消耗量。花園也能吸收二氧化碳，把周遭噪音降到最低。
