It is most unlikely that you can repair it yourself.  Monitor blackout can possibly be caused by
1) defective monitor, or
2) defective on-board video card, i.e. your motherboard

Repair cost is very high for these two items.  If your notebook is over 2 years old, it is not worth repairing it.  Be honest, I would save the repair cost to subsidy a new one.
