Dare the World to Save the Planet




We only have one planet.  You can help protect it. Participate in the world’s largest single campaign for the planet: Earth Hour. It starts by turning off your lights for an hour at 8:30 pm on March 31, 2012 in a collective display of commitment to a better future for the planet.  Think what can be achieved when we all come together for a common cause.



Why is your participation important?
Our future depends on it.  Across the world, biodiversity and natural habitats are disappearing at a greater rate than ever before.  We are depleting the earth of wild animals, water, wood and other natural resources faster than they can be replenished; polluting and altering natural habitats and changing the entire planet's climate.

Things will only worsen if we continue in the same direction.
Earth Hour raises awareness of sustainability issues.  But there’s more to it than switching off lights for one hour once a year.  It’s about giving people a voice and working together to create a better future for our planet.


Earth Hour is so much more than lights out. It’s an invitation to change your world. Will you join us?

For most of us, we stay up long after the sun goes down. We watch TV, stay up on our PC, listen 2 music, read or whatever else we do with the lights on.
What's wrong w that?

Well, we're using more energy than we used to back when people didn't hve artificial lighting , but we're also missing out on all of the fun things to do in the dark!


Lights off Fun things to to in the dark, or like Blue Boy, said do something fun in the dark. Observing Earth Hour Need Not Be Boring or Doing Nothing.

Which One u doing Blue Boy?

Brooklyn boy telling ghost story to Cal Cammy...so Cammy get really scare n u can hold her hands?
N then hum a sweet melody, sing a song, n play a lovely tune
Play a little game n chat all night long in the darkness with only momentum...of sounds n touch...

hahaha....see observing earth hour like Blue Boy is quite interesting, n fruitful, not a tough thing at all ...

What say the rest of u eh?
Would be a whole new experience doing stuff without lights, might give us some new insights as well,
worth the effort d...

Yes, support fully.  The Earth Hour is a great event; and as a Sydneysider, for once I am proud that it had started from here.  Will definitely observe it.  Even to the extent to unpluging all the laptops and pcs.
But Kimmy, seriously, as for #2 *** , we might have to delay it by a couple of hours, and candle lit only.
