.dat to DVD

I have some movies in dat format, I know i can burn them as vcd. However, I want to burn them into DVDs and can be seen on a DVD player. $ U- |, f7 Q. O9 b% t9 y
I tried to just burn a data DVD and it's viewable on some DVD players, others can't read the disc. And also, I can't change the audio channel, as in I can't change it to only left or right, that is it's speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin... I was wondering what other methods to burn it so that I can have them to change audio channels.6 V, h8 q& B5 N; S- T1 i
