ECCLESTON AIMING FOR MORE GOALS
England youth international Nathan Eccleston will be aiming for more goals as Liverpool Under-18s host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday morning at the Kirkby Academy (11am).
Eccleston scored twice during last weekend's 3-2 win at Stoke and combined superbly in attack with 16-year-old German starlet Marvin Pourie.
Reds Under-18 boss Hughie McAuley said: "I was pleased for Nathan because he has been working hard and making his contribution in games without getting his goals. But on Saturday he scored two good goals and that will boost his confidence no end."
"We just try to improve every week as a team and as individuals."
Going into the game McAuley's side are currently in sixth position in the table after five games played while Blackburn are bottom. |
