[新聞] 2,000 BHP Dagger GT Supercar Reaches 300 MPH
People always want more, and among automotive enthusiasts, more can only refer to power, speed and comfort. Well, some should be careful what they wish for, as the guys at Transtar Racing decided to give them the best-looking, fastest
supercar in the world.
Dubbed Dagger GT, the supercar is based on the Corvette Cheetah concept and promises to break every major record, from being the fastest on a straight line to being the quickest around the Nurburgring.
Customers will be able to choose from three different models: “a hard-core racer, a street-legal sport version and a soft-riding luxurious GT-X that combines both speed and comfort”.
Dagger GT is equipped with a 572 multi-fuel (petrol/methanol/hydrogen/ethanol), aluminum Twin Turbo engine that outputs 2,000 bhp and 2,710 Nm of torque mated to a TranStar/Mendeola 6-speed transmission. Performance wise, the supercar achieves 0-60 mph in 1.5 seconds and leaves the quarter mile mark behind in less than 6.7 seconds.
And wait until you hear this: Dagger GT has a top speed rated at no less than 300 mph (483 km/h). Its outer body is made from carbon fiber, whereas high-strength 4130 Chromoly Steel chassis forms the inner structure.
The Dagger GT will only be available as a limited run of only five units at first, and three of them have already been booked. Each Dagger will be 49-state street-legal if desired by the buyer, Transtar Racing says. Further sales are scheduled to begin during the first half of 2011 for 10 units to be delivered in 2012, each car being priced from US$450,000 (EUR 360,000). |
