8月31日獲悉，慶大畢業的美男演員水嵨宏（24）將與實力派女演員鈴木杏（21）聯袂主演富士電視台系週六檔日劇《ROOM OF KING》（10月4日開播，週六晚11：00）。這部異想輕喜劇講述了一個住在同一屋簷下的人競相爭奪公寓所有權的故事。當下備受關注的編劇，大宮繪莉（32）負責該劇劇本，同時還將在劇中亮相。他此次會將可愛的兩位主演打造成「搞笑的KING」。
由於出演同台的熱播劇《偷偷愛上你》和《絕對彼氏》，水嵨宏的知名度節節攀升，在年輕女性中人氣大增。此次終於大翻身，首度在日劇中擔任主演。而另一位主演鈴木杏，十幾歲起便經常出現在海外大片中，演技得到高度肯定。這對特色搭檔將挑戰該異想輕喜劇。
故事在東京青山的一所高級公寓中展開。水嵨所飾演的自由職業者、杏所飾演的OL與性病科女醫生（井川遙）、著名設計師（渡部篤郎）一起合租房子。在這期間，他們參加了一個遊戲。他們要經歷重重考驗，最後成功的人，將會得到公寓的所有權。. c6 R. D6 q( W
此次身兼編劇、演員二職的大宮繪莉，畢業於東大。曾擔任過電通的廣告導演，此後，她又擔當過電影監督、廣播作家等，是一位職場多面手。她負責創作了NHK 神秘蒙面摔跤手的一分鐘短劇《L・ポポラッチがゆく！！》，以及把社會生活喜劇化的綜藝節目《上班族NEO》，改變了富士台給觀眾留下的，古板老套的印象。
《ROOM》是她民間放送的首部日劇作品。她幹勁十足的說，「我希望這部作品在帶給觀眾歡笑的同時，能讓大家品味到他們的成長。」要將大宮的世界演繹出來，需要高超的演技，在真實中醞釀出歡笑。
富士台的製片人中島久美子在談到主演水嵨時說道，「外表柔美的他，其實很有個性、很倔強。」另外，也對他寄予厚望，「一個普通的青年人是如何成長的，這個角色的跨度較大，我很期待他的表現。」關於杏，她則很有信心的說道，「我認為她的演技在年輕女優中，算得上是出類拔萃，我們經常會產生共鳴。」
水嵨表示，「我現在很是期待。週六日劇檔，有很多相當有趣的作品，希望這部作品能帶給大家不一樣的感受。」杏也在一旁摩拳擦掌，「這是我接的第一部喜劇作品，希望能讓大家看到一個全新的鈴木杏。」
