[/td][td=1,1,357]Fernando Torres met his goalscoring match at the weekend when he was introduced to a player with an even more impressive goalscoring record to boast about. [/td][/tr][tr][td=2,1,487]Paralympian David Clarke - aka 'the blind Fernando Torres' - is the striker in the GB Blind Football team with 99 international caps and 95 international goals under his belt – and he's hoping to return from the Beijing Olympics celebrating two centenaries and gold medal glory.

"To be given the chance to meet with Fernando was an absolute thrill," said David, a life-long Liverpool fan.

"He mentioned how he'd actually played in a blind football exhibition game against some of the Spanish team a few years ago, so knew how we play the game.

"And although he wished us luck, Fernando did say he hoped that it would continue to be a successful sporting year for Spain.

"I might be a Liverpool fan and in awe of his skills on the pitch, but I won't be gifting him that wish in a hurry!"
