全球食評權威「查格美食指南」（Zagat restaurant guide）最新調查指出，倫敦是全球出外用膳最貴的城市，享用一頓3道菜的膳食平均需付619港元，相對紐約，同類膳食只需約306港元

調查訪問了全球45個城市5000至1萬人，發現在倫敦吃3道菜的一頓飯，平均花費39.09鎊（約619港元），較去年上升2.9％。巴黎以35.37鎊（約560港元）超越去年排榜首的東京，位列第2；東京則以35.1鎊（約556港元）退居第3。/ R6 _' v' b# p) j' q! g

調查指出，在美國紐約吃類似的一餐，當中包括一杯飲品，連稅及服務費只需19.3鎊（約306港元），在三藩市則需17.61鎊（約279港元）。不過論到食物質素及服務水平，倫敦僅分別排第12及第10位。調查結果將刊登於《查格倫敦餐廳指南2008》。- z; K) W; z% [3 A0 J% |; D2 j

負責調查的查格說﹕「倫敦用餐費貴得驚人，但在品質及價格上仍算物有所值。」位於倫敦王家醫院路的GorgonRamsay餐廳收費最昂貴，每人平均消費107鎊（約1700港元）。而被譽為「無可挑剔」的ChezBruce餐廳，食物質素獲最高評價，每人平均收費57鎊（902港元）。查格表示，紐約是他最喜愛用膳的地方，接是倫敦，然後是東京或上海，巴黎則排第5。公仔箱論壇1 o# y( I4 {% c$ `, j

儘管倫敦餐廳收費不菲，但若要到講究的高級餐廳用餐，收費則比其他國際城市同類餐廳為低，倫敦首20位最貴餐廳平均收費是87.9鎊（1390港元），巴黎為101鎊（1600港元），東京則需102鎊（1616港元）。倫敦市民平均一周外出用餐2.5次，紐約、巴黎及東京市民則分別是一周3.4次、2.9次及3.6次。os.tvboxnow.com+ ~! w2 V9 d6 i

另外，查格亦評出倫敦十大食物質素最佳餐廳，其中最一間名為「湖南」（音譯）的中國餐館，由去年17位躍升至第3位，成為「最佳進步」餐廳。

I spent a fews years in London and known for a fact that eating in/around London costs big bucks. However I think we (people who lives in the States) must understand that in European countries diners don't give service tips (Honk Kong, China and Japan too), but we do: at least 15% in my knowledge. So I guess when talking about paying for food, no doubt London is the most expensive but the US too...

if we are the resident in ny, it's seems normal for a dinner ofcourse if converted into other currency, it's
become expensive.
