EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -- Forward Trevor Ariza, acquired in a Novembertrade with Orlando, has exercised his player contract option to remainwith the Los Angeles Lakers.
He appeared in 24 games for the Lakers before breaking a bone in hisright foot on Jan. 20. He missed the rest of the regular season and 11playoff games before returning for Game 2 of the Western Conferencefinals.
Ariza averaged 18 minutes a game in the regularseason before being hurt, with averages of 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds,1.5 assists and 1.08 steals. Even Ariza is not good scoring player ( normally scoring by dunk ) but lakers need his defence.. he defence skill and rebound very good.. so glad he stay at lakers.. so now lakers got high chance to get 2008-2009 CHAMPION~~~!!!
