On June 26, 2012 Kalinin NPP was visited by the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technologies and Water of the Republic of Malaysia headed by the Manager of the Office, Mr. Peter Chin Fah Kui.: o$ G0 k, W! p6 k( l9 N" `

According to Mr. Peter Chin Fah Kui, the visit to the nuclear power plant has left a great impression. By the opinion of Head of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technologies and Water of Malaysia, it will become a platform for further discussions and signing of the memorandum of mutual understanding with Russia: “We have made a decision on the necessity of developing the nuclear power industry in our country, and I consider that the Russian nuclear technologies may become a model, which we will follow.”8 u3 P  v* Y: `, y+ e

Kalinin NPP includes four power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) each one having the installed capacity of 1,000 MW. Implementation of the stage “Pilot Operation” continues its realization on the 4th power unit, which start-up took place in November 2011.5 N6 E9 A! Z# D  ?. \( }
