今年雪梨鱼市场（Sydney Fish Market）生意狂热。在平安夜鐘声即將敲响之际，人们将疯狂购买多達900吨海鲜。

雪梨鱼市场自在Pyrmont開始经营以来，今年已经是第十五個年头了，在聖诞節即将到来之际，雪梨鱼市场開始了長達36个小時的馬拉松式经营。

雪梨鱼市场于周五下午5点停止营业，届时将會有900吨海鲜在這36小时之内賣出，这一销量将占到年总销量的10%。

据预计，將有180吨虾售出，即平均每分锺有83公斤的蝦售出。此外，将有160万吨生蠔售出，平均每分钟卖出1000吨。

yeah it's crazy, I went with gf about 3 years ago at about 1am to see what its all about. 1 in the morning, and the carpark was full!

HK has flower market before CNY, guess this is kind of the equivalent for Sydney

But I don't understand the statistics though, firstly:

and then

将有160万吨蠔豉售出，平均每分钟卖出1000吨

1000 tonnes of oysters a minute???? Even 1000 OYSTERS a minute sounds exaggerated!

And Aussies don't eat 蠔豉... that's what we have with 髮菜 hehe

多谢指出“Aussies don't eat 蠔豉.”。Oyster 应该翻译为生蠔，澳洲賣生蠔是連壳的。澳洲人吃生蠔大约有三種：一，加入新鲜榨柠檬汁
生吃；Grill焗：二，加咸猪肉（Bacon）同喼汁一起焗。三，用面粉、牛油同牛奶先煮成面粉糊，再用面粉糊包在生蠔，最後放上芝士（Parmesan cheese）一齐焗。

those shops in fish market they have their shops around , can buy same quality seafood with cheaper price and no waiting time..
