The deployment of 300 Russian paratroopers was to reinforce the security of her airbase in Kant in northern Kyrgyzstan. I think the Russians have no plan to intervene at this stage as most of actions were in the south. The interim government since April this year is full of internal discords, lack of coherent administration and transparency. There is no change in level of corruption, organized crimes and narcotics trade, many are still in poverty. This weak government has allowed opportunities for clans to exploit social tension, which quickly deteriorated into sort of anarchy. This circumstance is not unique to Kyrgyzstan, it may happen to the other neighboring states like Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan as well. That would be the main worry.
